A neighborhood bar in Rockford that has been in business for thirty-eight years is closing its doors.

If you're going out to have a couple of adult beverages, nothing beats a local tavern.

I think the legendary TV show said it best, "A place where everyone knows your name."

The Forest City has many to pick from but unfortunately, one of them is calling it a day.

According to rrstar.com,

"It’s last call for Monkey Business. The neighborhood bar at 1241 Broadway will close at the end of April after 38 years in business."

"Owner Diana Young said, “It’s time for us to get out of this rat race. I'll miss my employees and her regular customers. A lot of good memories and a few bad ones."

Make sure you stop down to Monkey Business for one last drink before it's gone.
