Rockford Lutheran football superstar James Robinson is in a contract year and will be a free agent at the end of this season.

After kicking some serious butt down in Jacksonville, he is now a New York Jet. The Jets lost there standout rookie Breece Hall to a season ending injury, so picking up the talented Rockford native is perfect.

Jacksonville has been riding the struggle bus the entire time that James has played for them. Robinson has been an offensive bright spot for the Jags, but finding consistent wins is still an issue.

In return for James Robinson, the Jacksonville Jags received a 6th round draft pick, that can become a 5th round pick IF James runs for 600 yards the remainder of this season. Give James the workload, and that shouldn't be an issue. Robinson has run for 2,177 yards and 18 touchdowns in his three seasons with Jacksonville. He also ended his rookie season, as an UNDRAFTED rookie, with 1414 yards...Setting an NFL record.

James Robinson stands to receive a "nice" payday at the end of this season. Hopefully things run smooth with the now 5-2 NY Jets, and he can be the featured running back for remainder of this year.

Good luck in New York, James. J-E-T-S Jets. Jets. Jets!
