The wet weather trend in Rockford continues and worst yet it appears to be impeding the unofficial start to summer.

Let's be for real for a second here though. When's the last time you remember a Memorial Day weekend without some form of rain on either Saturday, Sunday or Monday.

Now there's word coming from trusted former Rockford TV meteorologist Eric Sorenson who is currently at WQAD in the Quad Cities is predicting more of the same Memorial Day rain.

Only this time it looks like we're going to get rained on the entirety of Memorial Day weekend.

Repeated heavy thunderstorms can be expected. Unfortunately, that looks to bring us some high chances for rain on all three days of the holiday weekend.

I get it, Sorenson's forecast is specific for the Quad Cities, but the band of weather reaches from the QC up through Rockford and into Chicago.

It looks like it's going to be a rainy three day weekend. I hope you've got some indoor activities planned.
