Rockford City Market Delays Opening Of 2020 Season

I know that this is overly optimistic thinking, but I've really been hoping and praying that life will be back to normal by May and that this horrible COVID-19 pandemic will be a thing of the past. I know May is about a hop, skip and jump away right now, and that the likelihood of any of that happening is very dismal, but a girl can still dream, right?

Are you ready for some more slightly disturbing news? Due to COVID-19 concerns, Rockford City Market has made the decision to push back the opening date of the 2020 season until June 5.

According to WREX;

Rockford City Market will push back the start of the market season from May 15 to June 5.

Even on opening day, things will be a little different. The layout we've come to know with the market will change. More hand washing stations will also be provided, along with guidelines for vendors.

City Market organizers are following the COVID-19 situation very carefully, and further adjustments may be made as we get closer to opening day. Until then, vendors can still sign up to be a part of he second half of the Rockford City Market season, here.
