2002 - It was announced that Ozzy Osbourne and his family had signed a deal that included two books.

1974 - Bruce Springsteen's gig at Boston's Harvard Square Theater inspired "Rolling Stone" magazine critic Jon Landau to proclaim, "I have seen rock & roll's future and his name is Bruce Springsteen." Landau would go on to manage Bruce.

1973 - Mick Jagger ponied up 150 thousand dollars of his own money to add to the 350 thousand dollars raised by The Rolling Stones at a January benefit concert for the victims of the Nicaraguan earthquake.

1970 - The Guess Who started a three-week run at number one on the singles chart with "American Woman."
