2001 - Bon Jovi raised 1.7 million dollars by staging a benefit concert to aid farmers in Australia.

2000 - "Aida" opened on Broadway. It took Elton John 21 days to write the musical and five years to create the production.

1991 - The Black Crowes were dropped as the opening act on ZZ Top's tour for criticizing Miller Beer. Miller Beer was the tour's sponsor.

1973 - Lou Reed was bitten on the butt by a fan at a concert in Buffalo, New York. The unidentified man screamed "Leather!," leaped past the guards and went after his target.

1965 - Bill Wyman was knocked unconscious by an electrical shock from a microphone stand. It was the first date of The Rolling Stones anniversary tour.

Lou takes a "Walk on the Wild Side" in 1997 at the Hard Rock Cafe, luckily for him his butt stayed in tact.
