2001 - Carlos Santana received keys to Autlan de Navarro, Mexico. This is the town where he spent most of his youth. He also unveiled a plaque that made him known as the town's "favorite son."

1980 - The Doobie Brothers won two Grammys for "What A Fool Believes."

1977 - Keith Richards' hotel suite was raided by Royal Canadian Mounted Police in Toronto. He was arrested and charged with possession of heroin with the intent to traffic and possess cocaine.

1971 - Janis Joplin started a five-week run on the album charts with "Pearl." At this time she had already been dead five months.

1970 - Jefferson Airplane was fined $1,000 for using profanity during their show in Oklahoma City.

1967 - Pink Floyd recorded their first single "Arnold Layne." It was produced by Joe Boyd.
