Rock and Roll Recap for April 14 featuring Tom Petty, The Beatles, Bruce Springsteen and more.

2014 - Ritchie Blackmore, ex-Deep Purple and Rainbow guitarist, turns 69 today.

2009 - George Harrison was posthumously honored with a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Paul McCartney was on hand for the unveiling, joining Harrison's widow Olivia and son Dhani.

1989 - Tom Petty released his first solo album, "Full Moon Fever."

1980 - A New Jersey state assemblyman introduced a resolution to make Bruce Springsteen's "Born to Run" the official state song.

1970 - Stephen Stills broke his wrist in an auto accident.

1963 - The Beatles first met The Rolling Stones after a Stones concert in Richmond, England.

By far the most well known track, and my personal favorite, from Tom Petty's "Full Moon Fever" is Free Fallin'. Go ahead and sing along, I encourage it.
