President Trump will make his first visit to the Land of Lincoln on Thursday for the first time since being inaugurated as President. If you want to see the President, you'll have to travel about four and half hours south. NBC5 is reporting that President Trump will visit Granite City, which is near St Louis.

The President will visit the U.S. steel plant Granite City Works. The reason for the visit is to highlight how the steel plant has benefited as a result President Trump's imposition of  steep tariffs on steel and aluminum imported from abroad.

The company started in March restarting two blast furnaces at the Granite City Works that were shut down in 2015, costing 2,000 jobs. U.S. Steel has announced the recalls about 800 workers.

Unlike visits to other states, the Thursday event in Illinois will not include a rally as the President has been known to hold on occasion.
