For the Polar Plunge cold water, here is the perfect to prepare.

What Is The Polar Plunge?

The Polar Plunge is a fundraiser for Special Olympics Illinois. Participants collect donations from people they know, to support the fact they will be jumping into cold lake water during the winter. It earns a nice sum of money for the program. I know it sounds crazy but it is a good time for a great cause.

Doing The Polar Plunge

I started participating in the Polar Plunge ever since I began my morning show on 96.7 The Eagle. I avoided it for years but after doing it for the first time, I realized it was something I wanted to do every year.

Training For The Polar Plunge

The experts suggest actually training for the Polar Plunge before taking the dip in the freezing water. They suggest doing things like taking cold showers. No, thank you. I usually just suck it up without preparing.

New Way To Prepare For The Polar Plunge

I was taught a new way to train for the Polar Plunge. I would like to thank my friend, Michelle, the host of "Good Day Stateline" on WTVO for inviting me on her show to promo this great event along with recruiting donations and members for our team.

She invented a new way to train for the Polar Plunge and I am a big fan. It was drinking an ice-cold milkshake. Check it out for yourself.
