At Brookfield Zoo, they give you the opportunity to hang out with penguins.

Since I was a child, I have loved animals. I liked to read, watched movies, and checked out television shows about them. I've always had pets all through my life. Whenever we went on vacation if there was a zoo, aquarium, or wildlife park it was definitely a stop. I especially like going to the local ones around Rockford.

There are animals that I must see each visit. They have priority. One of those is a penguin. I'm not sure why, but I find them entertaining. They usually have a cool enclosure too. I've been to a few places that they are one of the featured animals, so they have a great home for fan viewing.

Brookfield Zoo has a good place for their penguins. They even offer a chance to have a meet and greet with an actual penguin. I would love to do that.

According to onlyinyourstate.com,

"For a close-up meet-and-greet with penguins, you'll want to register for the Penguin Encounter. It's available Monday through Friday at 2 p.m., and weekends at 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Just 20 guests are allowed to register for each encounter, so make your reservation soon."

Plus, you get your picture taken with a penguin. That has a Facebook profile photo written all over it.

One time, I got my wife and daughter an encounter with dolphins. They had the best time. If you have someone on your Christmas list that loves penguins, you might consider this as a gift.
