Only Took 17 Years But I Finally Watched 'Elf'

I know it's one of those holiday movies people go crazy for and love to watch year after year, now I can see why. I don't know why I was late to the party but glad I'm here now.

One of my family's Christmas traditions is watching certain Christmas movies together. Every year we have to watch Emmett Otter's Jug-Band Christmas, Scrooged, and National Lampoon's Christmas Vacation. But after this year I can see Elf now being added to the list too.

Buddy the Elf is defiantly one of Will Farrell's best roles. He's so sweet, endearing, and funny. The rest of the cast is amazing too. Plus you have Jon Favreau as director and if The Mandalorian has shown us anything it's that he's pretty awesome!

Losing my Dad around Christmas time has made me a little Grinchy this time of year, so it was nice to watch something with my kids to help put me back into the holiday spirit. It was also nice to sit and have a good laugh with my girls.

We enjoyed this Christmas favorite so much we've watched it 3 times since Tuesday night. As I type this up, we're going on number 4.

So if you're looking for a Christmas movie that has the right amount of funny with sweet then this is for you. I seriously don't know why it's taken me this long to finally see this movie but we'll be watching it every year from here on out. The Christmas Chronicles with Kurt Russell is also pretty good to watch with the fam!
