One of America’s Absolute Best Places to Live is in Wisconsin
Wisconsin is a big state with plenty of great places to live, but did you know this city is considered one of the best in America?
You could say it should take the "title" as the best place to live in Wisconsin and it gets on the medal stand as one of the best overall in America.
As an Illinois guy looking at Wisconsin, it's easy to be reductive when it comes to this town, and refer to its popularity as completely football-based.
Yes, I'm talking about Green Bay, aka Titletown. Home of the patron saint of football, Aaron Rodgers.
U.S. News & World Report lists Green Bay as the third best place to live in America right behind Huntsville, Alabama, and Colorado Springs, Colorado.
Home to one of the most storied football franchises in the NFL, the Green Bay Packers, Green Bay has the perfect mix of big-city amenities complemented with a Midwestern, small-town feel. This city boasts a thriving entertainment and arts scene, revitalized downtown, and two college campuses, creating an energy that may appeal to young families as well as retirees.
Green Bay received scores of 6.8 overall, 7.1 for quality of life, and a massive 8.5 for value.
Speaking of value, the first two homes for sale in Green Bay I noticed on Realtor.com are $120,000 and $150,000. Both places are three-bedroom cribs, so you can see, that the value is real in Titletown.
However, there are more expensive homes in Green Bay than the two mentioned above, but they offer more rooms and updates.
Long story short, you can do much worse than Green Bay in Wisconsin. It's just you have to live with staying in the same town that loves Aaron Rodgers.
If you're a Bears fan, that could be a tough sell.
