This is pretty awesome. In the off-season, the Chicago Bears organization acknowledges outstanding high school athletes and their athleticism. Some of the players deemed "High School All-Star" by Da Bears have pulled off impressive plays on the field in ways that are bigger than what you might spot during an actual Bears game. (I'm not knocking the Monsters of the Midway, I'm a fan, but it's a true statement.) This athlete already holds the spot of top player within his team's conference.

This week, a NIC-10 athlete picked up the honor for an impressive feat. James Cooper, the starting quarterback for the Harlem Huskies, threw an impressive 3 touchdowns as well as running in three of his own. When is the last time a navy-blue and orange jersey wearer did that? Adding even more to his high school athletic resume, sportscaster Derek Bayne at WREX pointed out just how well Coop is doing during this shortened season.

He's the conference's all-time leader in passing touchdowns and is adding to his record-setting career this shortened season.

As one of Chicago Bears' High School All-Star, Coopers not only receives a proverbial pat on the back, the Harlem High School student will be presented with a personalized football by Da Bears. Luckily for him, Mitchell Trubisky will not be on hand to toss the ball to the wrong person.
