New Look Blackhawks Start Tonight

As we nurse our Cubs hangover today, the Chicago Blackhawks are starting at the right time.

The 2016-17 NHL campaign for the Chicago Blackhawks begins tonight versus the rival St Louis Blues. As we get ready for the puck to drop tonight let's look at 5 things according to NHL that all Blackhawks fans should be aware of:

• A Special Opening Night - The Blackhawks start where they left off. They get their chance to take on the team that removed them from last years post season.
• Youth Gone Wild - You could see as many as six rookies on the ice tonight.
• Vlad is so Bad - Tarasenko is one on the brightest stars, and best shooters in the game. Will Chicago be able to hold him off?
• Blues Goalie Injured - Even though he was hurt in preseason, Jake Allen will get the start in net for the Blues.
• Will Hossa hit 500 - Blackhawks star Marian Hossa finished last season with 499 goals, what a way to start this season with number 500.

This years team will have a new look, hopefully the old winning ways will continue.
