New Illinois Driving Law Coming in 2024, Didn’t Know This Was Actually Legal
I was unaware that doing something like this while driving WAS legal, but that will officially chance at the start of 2024. LEGISCAN
It seems forever ago, that you NEEDED to have meetings on Zoom on a consistent basis. Sure, companies still do this but the need to, isn't as much. Have you even done a Zoom while driving? As in actually doing the visual Zoom while behind the wheel? That is distracted driving, but apparently this has been legal...For now.
Here is the law that will be a thing as on 2024...
Provides that a person may not operate a motor vehicle on a roadway while using an electronic communication device, including using an electronic communication device to participate in any video conferencing application or to access any social media site. - LEGISCAN
It will be ILLEGAL TO ZOOM AND DRIVE

Video call apps have become synonymous with remote work, and the state is stiffening penalties for drivers who want to meet while behind the wheel. - Axios
So here's the law as of Jan 1st 2024, you can't Zoom video call when you drive. That was a law that is needed, apparently? The concept of doing any sort of work or text, or video, or anything on your phone...I assumed was illegal anyway. No texting, no Zooming.
