Mythological Creatures That Turned Out to Be Real

I get a kick out of this stuff. Bigfoot, The Loch Ness Monster, an African Unicorn?? They're all real! Well, some of them.I believe there is so much wildlife out there that we haven't come close to seeing it all. So when a rarity is spotted, it has to be a creature or a monster right?

Greek writing from years ago told stories of this tall, long necked creature that had to be some sort of a monster. Turns out it was a Giraffe.

Then there were Ape Men, or in more recent years Bigfoot. Large, human structured creatures that roam the earth and eat children. OK, the last part I threw in on my own. African tribes would freak out because of the Ape Men size and would tell stories of these monsters. Now it's intoxicated hunters with cell phone cameras.
