My First Night at Rockford Town Fair
I went to the Rockford Town Fair last night presented by SwedishAmerican, a division of UW Health.
A "soft opening" as it was referred to last night, had an amazing first night crowd at The Rockford Speedway. The Rockford Town Fair is up and running, and this is everything I would imagine it would be and more.
I was walking around the midway before it opened Wednesday morning. (see video below) Soaking it all in watching the incredible set up of the massive rides.
Last night I was part of a "guided tour" given by the people that own and operate the Rockford Town Fair. Learning about the entire set up is great, the level of entertainment is unmatched.
The midway is clean, the people smile, the food is yummy and the rides still have my head spinning! Here are a few of my favorite things from my visit to the Rockford Town Fair on opening night:
- Lime Snow Cone
- Pig Races
- Hot Air Balloon Rides
- Alien Abduction
- Red Velvet Elephant Ears
- Happy Fair Employees
- Beer Vendors
- My first fair ride in years, man am I getting old
- Stuffed animals bigger than adults
- Ferris Wheel that can be seen from 173 & 251 corner
