More Cops Coming to Rockford?

Rockford is one of the cities that will recieve a grant for more officers.

According to Rock RIver Times the city of Rockford will recieve grant money to hire additional police officers.

Attorney General Jeff Sessions Monday announced "COPS Hiring Program grants" which will include Rockford, Dade County Florida, Houston, San Antonio and the Orange County Sheriff's Department in California.

The grant totals $625,000 which will be enough to hire five new Rockford Police Officers.
