If it seems like it had been a while since we had rain, your feelings are correct.

The derecho that rocked the area two Mondays ago was more than enough precipitation for a couple of weeks and it looked like Mother Nature agreed.

We went 20 days with no measurable precipitation, which was the longest since 2017 and only the 4th such stretch in the last 20 years.

We'll have another decent stretch of dryness as the next real chance of rain occurs next Tuesday but hopefully, for our farmers, we won't see another dry spell like we had over the past 2 and a half weeks.
