Matt Forte was notified earlier this week by the Bears that he won't be resigned but it's his touching goodbye that will make you tear up.

Forte let all of his fans know today he won't be with the Bears next season on his Instagram account.

Despite my wishes, my days as a member of the Chicago Bears have sadly come to an end. I was informed earlier this week from the GM that they will not be attempting to re-sign me in free agency. I will remain forever grateful for my time spent in Chicago and being able to play for an organization with such a rich history. My only regret is not being able to win a Lombardi trophy for the best fans in all of sports. I'm excited about the next chapter of my NFL career. But, Chicago will always be home. God Bless and Bear Down!"

I was guessing that he wasn't going to be back with the team next year, however I wasn't prepared to feel the way I did after reading his Instagram post.

While Forte was never looked at like a team captain type of player, I didn't realize how much he loved playing in Chicago.

Now that's he's gone, the fans and myself will miss Forte. Good luck Matt, Bears fans nationwide hope you sign with a team that gets you a ring.
