Joseph Zak was pulled over because he didn't stop at a stop sign. As he was coming to a stop, police could see him frantically moving inside the car,  presumably to hide something, and he then tried to throw something out the passenger window.

When the police approached the vehicle, they caught Zak in the process of trying to hide an open can of Budweiser. A search of the vehicle turned up with a glass crack pipe, and a plastic bag with a white residue which tested positive for crack cocaine.

Police asked him about the bag of cocaine, to which he denied ownership, saying "The police or wind must have put it there."

He was charged with arrested on multiple charges, and moved to the St. Lucie County jail.
