With Summer coming to a close, it's time to get in one last trip to Magic Waters. That final trip really will be your LAST Magic Waters trip.

But don't panic, Magic Waters isn't leaving us, it's just getting a new name. At the start of the 2020 season, Magic Waters will officially have a new name.

WREX details -

The new name will be “Six Flags Hurricane Harbor Rockford” beginning next year. Six Flags made the announcement in a press release on Thursday. They also announced a new waterslide will be coming to the park next year as well well.

So not only are they changing their name, they're also debuting a new slide. WREX explains the slide -

The park will debut Tidal Wave, which will be the Midwest’s first tailspin waterslide. The waterslide sends riders pushing through three high-speed turns in a two-person inner tube. Tidal Wave will be the waterpark’s 12th waterslide and is scheduled to debut during the 2020 season.

And the awesome changes don't stop there! The park will also receive major upgrades and extensive tropical theming throughout the 30-acre property.

We can't wait for Summer 2020!
