Remember last summer when we all waited in our cars in the pick-up line at Lino's to get delicious carryout because the dining room at our favorite Italian restaurant wasn't open? Well, we'll all be gathering in Lino's parking lot again this summer...for a far better reason; Rockford's Italian Market "Pasqua Mercato" is coming back!

Every Sunday, starting June 6 through August 29, 2021, Italian food specialties, fun, live music and more will take over the Lino's parking lot from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. The inaugural season of Pasqua Mercato back in 2019 was a major hit, and the event's organizers say most of the original vendors will be back this summer, and that they are hoping to add even more.

If you missed going to Pasqua Mercato back in 2019, here's how Lino's owner, Charlie Schweinler, explained the experience to WTVO;

A lot of our regular customers also come out to the market, but just to see the faces behind those families and everybody enjoying themselves is really what it’s all about. We have these kid games in the middle, and just to see them interacting and having fun and dancing to the music and that kind of thing.

Sounds like a good time, right?

If you are a local merchant or farmer that would like to be a vendor at Pasqua Mercato this season, fill out an application now at pasquamercato.com/vendors. You can also see the list of vendors already committed to the 2021 season, so check it out and start planning your shopping now for June 6th!
