Not all but some of Ben Jerry's Chunky Monkey ice cream pints have been recalled.

That's because some Chunky Monkey pints might include nuts undeclared on the ingredient and allergy information labels.

So it's a voluntary recall instituted by Unilever, maker of Ben & Jerry's because they believe people with peanut allergies may have an allergic reaction if they eat Chunky Monkey.

Coconut Seven Layer Bar ice cream is also on the list. However, you can only get the coconut ice cream at shops and by wholesale. Chunky Monkey, on the other hand, is available at grocery stores.

WIFR says to look for:

-Ben & Jerry’s Coconut Seven Layer Bar bulk product sold in a tub containing 2.4 gallons with a Consumer UPC of 076840104246 and best by date of SEP1520BJ4

-Ben & Jerry’s Chunky Monkey pint sold in a pint tub (473 mL) with a Consumer UPC of 076840100354 and best by dates of AUG2820BH2, AUG2920BH2 or AUG3020BH2

Don't just pitch it out if you own either of the two Ben & Jerry's flavors recalled. If you bought the recalled Ben & Jerry's pints, call 833.236.1237 for more information.
