If you're a HUGE SpongeBob fan, you might need to sit down for this one.

Whenever a new restaurant comes to Illinois, it's always the talk of the town. When restaurants have an Instagram worthy look inside and out, that's when people start getting really hyped. I was scrolling Facebook recently and saw that a lot of my Facebook friends were talking about how cool the Krusty Krab restaurant looked in Palestine. Yes... a real life Krusty Krab was once open to the public.

This made me think about why we don't have more of these fun restaurants in Illinois?

I feel like these would be very successful in Illinois because we're always looking for something to do, somewhere to go during the winter months. A SpongeBob SquarePants themed restaurant that serves exactly like what's in the show?

YES PLEASE!

Though we do have enough restaurants to go around, we could totally benefit from a Krusty Krab! Even though there aren't any plans as of now to build one near us, hear me out:

Do you know how many tourists we would bring in to our state just to even get a glimpse of this freakin' place? If we are willing to travel far and wide just to see the big ol' Bean in Chicago, who knows how long the line would be to get a Krabby Patty!

I don't know, I think it's a cool concept and everybody knows SpongeBob! Yes, we can keep opening a Portillo's all around the country, but a Krusty Krab? Now that's what I call a smart idea!!!
