Comedienne Joan Rivers was said to be in critical condition after she stopped breathing during a surgical procedure earlier today.

CNN is reporting the 81-year-old Rivers was rushed to Mount Sinai Hospital in New York City after she stopped breathing during a procedure on her throat.

TMZ is saying the procedure on Rivers' throat was being done at a clinic.
