Wisconsin Target And Other Retailers Closed For Easter Sunday
Eggs, ham, rolls, green beans...what else do you need for the perfect Easter Sunday brunch? Better get it before you run out of time and stores are closed.
Target and more retail and grocery stores are giving their employees the extra holiday day off and closing their doors in Wisconsin.
Stores Closing For Holidays
We are used to stores closing on Christmas Day and New Year's Day. Now in recent years, the trend has been to give employees off for Thanksgiving Day as well.
The big stores are giving these days off due to employee and public pushback, and because people can shop anytime they want online. So companies are figuring out they can save money by not paying employees double holiday pay and instead just closing the brick-and-mortar location for the holiday.
All Target Stores Will Be Closed In Wisconsin On March 31
Easter Sunday falls on the last day of the month this year. March 31. Target, along with other retail stores will be closed that day for the holiday.
Not only will Target be closed on Easter Sunday, but according to USA Today, Aldi, Sam's Club, TJ Maxx, Marshall's, HomeGoods, Costco, Lowe's, and Macy's will also be closed for the day. There may also be more locally owned shops and regional stores that will close for the Sunday holiday so it's best to check before you go on Easter.
Retail giant Walmart will stay open on Easter Sunday. So unlike other major holidays like Christmas and Thanksgiving, there will be options if you need to do some Sunday shopping.
