One Illinois Animal Shelter Critically Needs Dog Adopters NOW
The cages at Winnebago County Animals Services in Rockford, Illinois are at 'maximum critical capacity" right now so the shelter is hosting a discounted adoption event to clear as many cages as possible.
Animal Shelters at Critical Capacity
It's a sad story that repeats itself all too often; animal shelters all across the nation find themselves with too many pets and not enough room to house them. If you've never visited an animal shelter before, I must warn you it can be very disheartening.
Seeing so many lovable dogs and cats staring at me behind the bars of a cage just willing someone to adopt them breaks my heart every single time.
So many animals end up in shelters due to no fault of their own, and I promise you there are few feelings as great as rescuing an animal and knowing you are giving them a second chance at love!
Winnebago County Animal Services is at 'Dangerous' Capacity Levels
When I saw Winnebago County Animal Services post on social media that they are "completely out of space for dogs and need your help", I knew this was no time to mess around.
If you have ever considered adopting a pet, or more importantly, a dog at Winnebago County Animal Services before, NOW is the time to do it. Here's why;
In the past week we have taken in 126 animals - around 60 of who are dogs. We are above capacity with every transfer door down , meaning dogs only have half of the space that they should have, and pets will be at risk if we cannot make space.
PETS WILL BE AT RISK?!? I don't know about you, but that statement makes me incredibly worried!
Here are just a few of the dogs you can adopt for just $10 at Winnebago County Animal Services right now...
Are you really going to say no to all of those adorable faces? I sure hope not! Find out more about Winnebago County Animal Services' $10 dog adoption event and fill out an adoption application now at winnebagoanimals.org.
