This Rockford-Area Summer Job Could Pay More Than $25 an Hour
Do you know someone who needs a summer gig that pays well? Frito-Lay has a great opportunity to check out.
Time to Make Summer Plans
It may be only March, but in the blink of an eye it will be swimsuit season, so the time to make all those summer plans is now!
There are a ton of fun things to do in Illinois and beyond when it's warm outside. From pools and beaches, to fairs, festivals, and amusement parks, you can plan something exciting to do every weekend during the summer, but there is one major roadblock: all that summer fun can cost a lot of money.
If you have been looking for a seasonal job that pays well, or maybe you know a college-age kid who will be home and needs to make money, Frito-Lay will be kicking off its summer hiring push on March 11.
Frito-Lay is Hiring
Over the last few days, I've seen this notice getting shared in several different Rockford-area Facebook groups, and it looks like a great way to earn some major cash this summer:
The application website will officially open on March 11, 2026, and right now they only have one job opening listed for the location in Machesney Park. It’s important to act quickly because the company says the system will only allow a limited number of applicants, and spots fill up fast.
If you're open to a physical job that can boost your stash of fun money for vacations and backyard barbecues, this might be a summer gig worth checking out.
