Going to the movie theater should be a fun for everyone, but there's always that one person that ruins the experience for us.

Almost everyone has a movie theater pet peeve.  Maybe it's someone talking through the best scenes, constantly checking their phone and the light is too bright, or kicking the back of your seat.  Others get frustrated when people show up late, leave a mess behind, or treat the theater like it's their living room.

Rockford moviegoers are no different.  Ask around, and you'll hear plenty of opinions about the behaviors that make people roll their eyes before the previews are even over.  While everyone has their own tolerance level, there are a handful of things people do at a movie theater that seem to annoy just about everyone.

Personally, I can't stand when people let their kids run up and down the stairs during the movie.  It's not the place or the time to let kids climb all over things!

Here's a laundry list of all the things you might be doing at the movies that you're not even aware of that could be irritating other people (not that you owe them anything, but still!).

Movie Theater Behaviors That Drive Rockford Absolutely Crazy

  • Clapping at the end of a movie
  • Continuing to sip on an empty cup
  • Talking throughout the whole movie
  • Munching loudly on food
  • Using chair in front as a foot rest
  • Kicking the back of your seat
  • Leaving trash behind after the movie
  • People constantly getting up and leaving

If you do any of this, maybe don't.  Just sayin'.
