If all signs point to living in the Chicago suburbs, consider this one. Another survey has again ranked this Illinois city as one of the safest cities in the United States.

Safest Cities in the US

This isn't the first time this Chicago suburb has been recognized as one of the safest cities in America. This time, however, the Wallethub survey ranking is significantly higher.

According to WalletHub's website,

In order to determine the safest cities in which to live, WalletHub compared 182 cities — including the 150 most populated U.S. cities, plus at least two of the most populated cities in each state — across three key dimensions: 1) Home & Community Safety, 2) Natural-Disaster Risk, and 3) Financial Safety.

They evaluated those dimensions using 41 relevant metrics, including the percentage of people fully vaccinated, assaults per capita, unemployment rates, road quality, and more.

This city was one of only three cities in the Midwest on the list, Madison, Wisconsin, came in at No. 22, followed by Cedar Rapids, Iowa, at No. 23.

Finance website WalletHub released its list of safest cities in the U.S., and Aurora, Illinois, made the top 30.

Last year, the Chicago suburb made the list at No. 37, but it jumped up to No. 25 this year.

The Illinois city named the best place to live the American dream has a new honor.

Among the big cities, Chicago is at No. 140, just under New York, which is at No. 137. Milwaukee is at No. 144 and Indianapolis is at No. 145.

The WalletHub ranking has Nashua, New Hampshire, as the safest city, followed by Columbia, Maryland, and South Burlington, Vermont.
