If someone knocks on your door and says they were "in the area doing work" and saw your driveway needed a little TLC, don't always trust it.  The salesman usually says they'll give you a great discount, ask for an "up-front" fee, and either do a half-ass job or never return to complete the job.  Then, you're out hundreds, even thousands, of dollars for nothing in return.
