The Best Produce In Illinois Is At This Rockford Grocery Store
Surprisingly, there's one grocery store in Illinois that has the best and most affordable produce section considering we live in an all-seasons state.
Growing up in a family of five, my parents always made sure we ate our fruits and vegetables so we would grow up to be strong and healthy adults! All through my mom's pregnancy with me, she worked at Aldi in Rockford. So, you know she was stocking up on some quality produce every week!
Since we live in Illinois and certain produce goes out of season during different times of the year, sometimes it's hard to find one store that consistently has fresh product in stock.

Inflation has made prices skyrocket too, so it's been quite the struggle to get a container of fresh fruit at a reasonable price without forking over an arm and a leg!
According to a survey on Facebook, we wanted to take a deep dive into the best grocery stores with the best produce in Illinois. Rockford residents had a lot to say about their favorite, and unfavorable, grocery stores for quality produce.
The most favored grocery stores that made the list:
Valli Produce, Sam's Club, Woodman's, Hy-Vee, Meijer, and Schnuck's
The #1 grocery store not only has the best produce section, but the secret aisle they have that's hidden in plain sight is sooo addictive!
I will say... this grocery store has cotton candy grapes and that's why I agree they rank #1 in my book forever.

I do agree that the produce section might be small, but it's affordable and easy to find what you need when you walk into the store.
Honestly, Aldi deserves this high ranking because they're a one-stop-shop for everything you need; food, household needs, apparel, beauty supplies, the best wine, and the Aldi Finds aisle.
