This news is going to go over pretty hard in our house because more than one of my family members believe that Chick-Fil-A's Polynesian sauce is the greatest sauce ever created by human beings in the history of the world.

Or, something like that.

That might be a little over-the-top, but of all the different sauces available at all the different restaurants out there, only Chick-Fil-A's Polynesian sauce is spoken of in reverential tones at our kitchen table. And we're not alone.

• Honey Mustard sauce
• Polynesian sauce
• Garden Herb Ranch sauce
• Zesty Buffalo sauce
• Barbeque sauce
• Sweet & Spicy Sriracha sauce
• Honey Roasted BBQ sauce

...the only one that the Chick-Fil-A company is asking you to throw out immediately is the Polynesian sauce.

Unlike Many Food Product Recalls, This Doesn't Have Anything To Do With E. Coli, Salmonella, Listeria, Foreign Materials, Metal Shavings, Or Improper Storage

The request from Chick-Fil-A to discard any and all Polynesian sauce dipping cups that you may have grabbed up for home use is about safeguarding the segments of the overall population that deal with food allergies, primarily wheat and soy allergies.

Chick-fil-A is recalling its popular Polynesian sauce after the dipping cups were found to contain a different condiment, sparking concerns of undeclared allergens. While the message did not disclose what sauce the Polynesian sauce cups mistakenly contained, the only sauce with wheat and soy allergens listed on its website is their Sweet and Spicy Sriracha.
