Iowa Man Arrested For Banana Assault

A man in Iowa was arrested for assault with a banana.

Have you ever heard the saying, nothing good happens after midnight?

I think that point has been proven several times through the years. Even on New Years Eve in Des Moines, Iowa.

According to kcci.com,

"A Des Moines man was jailed Monday after police said he assaulted a convenience store clerk with a banana."

It was only a couple of hours into 2019 when a convenience store employee found himself in danger.

A couple visiting the location got into a domestic dispute in the store. The employee tried to break it up. One of the customers got angry with the interference and began chasing the clerk. He began throwing items including a banana. There was over $1,000 worth of damage done.

The fruit tosser was arrested when the police arrived.
