Improving Lives Curing Type 1 Diabetes

I want to introduce you to a good friend of mine. This beautiful little girl is my neighbor, Ellie. Ellie has Type 1 Diabetes and is one of the strongest people I know.

Diagnosed at a very young age, Ellie has taken this challenge head on. Type 1 Diabetes is difficult for a full grown adult let alone a kid. She wears her pump, checks her sugars, eats the required diet and lives a very active life. She beats me at checkers and UNO, and tries her best to ride her bike faster than me! Yesterday I introduced her to Quest Bars. High in protein, Gluten free, and taste great...The photo is her trying Cookies & Cream for the first time. I think I win.
