Illinois Tops New National Safest Drivers List

I can't be the only one shocked to see Illinois ranked so highly on this national list.

The last thing that I thought Illinois could boast about was the fact that we are safe on the road.

I drive on a daily basis more than the average driver does in a week. I'm pretty sure my car is my second home.

With my long commute, I see more accidents than anything else on the road.

But no matter how many accidents I see, Illinois still ranks in the top 10 on a new national list from HealthGrove, according to WGN. They crunched a bunch of numbers from the CDC to find out which states had the safest drivers.

Incredible isn't it! Illinois ranks number 8 on the list!

Way to go Illinois!
