Things are a lot different now than when I was younger. Back in the day, bullying was a way of life. You were either a person who made fun of people or you got picked on. I was the one who got bullied.

If you wore something weird, said something weird, or did something weird, you were going to be picked on for it. Once one person started, then a bunch of other people would join in. That was a pretty brutal experience.

I don't think bullying is as bad now as it was when I was younger for a couple of reasons. First of all, it's very frowned upon. You can get in serious trouble for it. Secondly, nowadays, you never know how someone will respond.

The reaction to being made of can sometimes be really scary. People aren't afraid to get violent and take their revenge to the next level. The perfect example is at a recent party in Joliet. A man wore leather pants to the gathering, and the jokes started flying.

The man wearing leather pants got very angry and started fighting one of the guys making fun of him. The suspect was so upset that he pulled out a gun and started shooting. He hit three people, but luckily, they'll be okay. He was arrested, and not surprisingly, the guy has a long criminal record.
