New Cannabis Infused Liquor Released In Illinois

Have you ever heard of a drink called a boilermaker? It's a beer with a shot of whiskey in it. There is an Illinois version, which is called the Chicago Handshake. It's a glass of Old Style Beer with a shot of Malort dropped in it.

If you're not familiar with Malort, it's a liquor that was invented in Chicago. Fans of the booze say it's an acquired taste, and it takes a certain kind of person to enjoy. I tried once, back in my drinking days, and it wasn't my thing, but many of my friends love it.

Jeppson's Malört and nuEra Dispensary have combined forces to create a new kind of drink. It's called the Chicago High Five. It's Malort infused with cannabis. It's available in a 1.75 oz bottle, with either 10mg ($6) or 25mg ($14) dosages.

It was released just in time for the annual 420 celebration. Do you dare try it? Oh, by the way, the Malort part of the drink is non-alcoholic, so you don't have to worry about getting too wasted when you have one.

According to Patch in Illinois, "Illinois dispensary nuEra partnered with Jeppson's Malört to offer the THC-infused HIGH Five shot at all nuEra locations."
