Wisconsin Town Not Happy With Cannabis Vending Machine At Mall

The citizens of a town in Wisconsin are upset because an illegal cannabis vending machine is set up in a local mall.

First of all, this whole story confuses me because I thought recreational marijuana was illegal in Wisconsin. Their government officials don't want it so they shouldn't benefit from the sale of cannabis. This should be a non-issue.

Secondly, how is there a cannabis vending machine in Wisconsin? Once again, it's illegal in the state. We don't even have any in Illinois and marijuana is actually legal here. Once again, unless they change the law it's a non-issue.

Inside the Brookfield Square Mall in Waukesha right by the Barnes and Noble, there is a unique kiosk. It's a cannabis vending machine owned by Ethereal Gold Dispensary which has a store downtown too.

Originally, the vending machine had both cannabis and psychedelic mushroom products. The shrooms were removed by request of the mall owners. There is actually a city law that doesn't allow stand-alone machines for products like this one.

Many of the residents are upset with the cannabis vending machine in their local mall. They believe it makes the products easily available for minors. The city leaders are coming up with a new ordinance against machines like this one. It was nice while it lasted. Someone made a great point. Do kids even go to the mall anymore?
