Did You Know There’s a Fun and Delicious Donut Tour in Illinois?
I've said it before and I'll say it again, there are people who love donuts and those who don't.
I normally don't hang with people who don't love donuts.
I get it, food allergies will prevent people from enjoying donuts, and believe me, I feel bad for those folks who don't partake in donut eating festivities.
To me, donut haters are a tough hang. Like, what else don't you like? Pizza?
Anyway, if you love donuts as I do, there's a hands-on underground donut tour in Illinois.
I found this incredibly tasty walk around The Second City on Airbnb called Chicago's Underground Donut Tour.
Hosted by Jeff, here's a description of the tour on Airbnb:
On this tour, you'll join me as we explore the city and food culture through the medium of donuts. You'll learn about the history of Chicago, each donut location, how they fit into the larger food scene, as well as try some amazing donuts.
Here are the stops on the tour:
- Doughnut Vault, 401 North Franklin.
- Firecakes Donuts, 68 West Hubbard Street.
- Stan's Donuts, 1560 North Damen Avenue.
- Do-Rite Donuts, 50 West Randolph Street.
Looking at the calendar for available dates, it appears Jeff takes people around the city on Wednesday, Saturday, and Sunday for donuts.
If your stomach is grumbling and your mouth is watering just thinking about all those donuts, you can sign up for a tour today.
The price is $40 a person and that does include the donuts according to the listing.
