According to this week's petition to deny pretrial release for Bono, on March 5, Braidwood police were asked by a commander of the Dyer, Indiana police to help apprehend Bono on two serious arrest warrants, armed robbery and criminal confinement, each involving the use of a deadly weapon.
A man from Illinois went into Indiana and decided it was a good day to rob a delivery truck. I'm guessing he thought he scored a jackpot when he learned about the cargo. It was full of cigarettes. I can only imagine how many he stole. It might surprise you, but he only took five packs. I know smokes are expensive, but that definitely wasn't worth the trouble.

When the Illinois cops pulled him over, they found the stolen cigarettes along with brass knuckles, a shotgun shell, drug paraphernalia, and a baggie of meth. The officers also found out that the suspect already had two warrants out for his arrest. It's probably a good thing to keep this guy off the streets. He's better suited to be behind bars.
