Those who have migrated to iOS 10 have been noticing their data has been going through the roof. One Facebook user figured out the issue.

Apple probably has a  good explanation for why they have the data assist turned on automatically that doesn't mean it's OK.

The "Wi-Fi Assist"" option automatically on gives off a real sneaky vibe and one that most consumers despise.

However, it's pretty easy to turn data assist off. Here's how in 3 easy steps.

  1. Go the iPhone home screen and click "Settings"
  2. Click "Cellular"
  3. Drag to the bottom of your phone and toggle "Wi-Fi Assist" from "on" to "off."
