With the success and popularity of Ice Hogs and Blackhawks hockey, comes growth and expansion in Rockford.

According to WREX The Rockford Park District is looking to expand the ice house.

A drastic growth in the popularity of hockey has made the ice house a very busy place. Youth leagues and adult leagues have taken off, and the numbers are still growing.

While hockey is the main driving force behind this, the popularity of ice skating has taken off too.

Look forward to the ice house adding another rink. This would allow for bigger hockey tournaments and huge skating shows.
