This happened back in 2016, but the video was just released. A volleyball player named Heather Friesen accidentally fell down a 50-foot waterfall in Hawaii, and survived.

The entire plunge was recorded on a GoPro that was strapped to her chest. It starts with her looking over the edge, and in an instant she slips and starts falling and sliding down super fast before splashing into a pool of water.

It takes about 20 seconds for her to emerge from there. A friend shows up pretty quickly to help her out, and it's clear that she's in a lot of pain.

She was eventually airlifted off the trail and ended up with 10 broken ribs, a collapsed left lung, a fractured scapula, and multiple wounds. She found out later that other people who fell from that same spot had died.
