I heard some great news that the price of gas is going down but unfortunately, it doesn't help Illinois residents because the state is still some of the highest in the United States.

Good News And Bad News About Gas Prices In Illinois

There are pros and cons to pretty much everywhere including which state you decide to live in. Illinois is full on both sides of the list. Unfortunately, the price of items is considered on the bad part of the information.

Right up near the top of the bad side of the list is the price of gas in Illinois. There are some reasonable pockets in the state but for the most part, the cost is way above many other places. That's why you see many residents of the state line crossing over to Wisconsin because it's so much cheaper.

Most of the year, the gas prices across the country including Illinois haven't had any relief. If you were taking a road trip, it was going to cost you extra money. Finally, we got some great news, prices are starting to go down.

Many states throughout the US have dropped below the $3 mark which is huge. We haven't seen that very often over the past few years. At this point, Oklahoma is the cheapest at $2.52. Prices are still dropping.

Of course, it's a good news and bad news scenario with gas in Illinois. Yes, the price of fuel has gone down in our state but it's still some of the most expensive in the US. The Land of Lincoln is placed at number nine at $3.20 per gallon of gas.

Though it has gone down, the price is still too high. I guess it could be worse. The most expensive place for gas in the US is Hawaii at $4.56 per gallon but that's a beautiful paradise.
