Opinion: Former Burpee Exhibit Rick’s Picks Could Find A Home At Casino

The former popular exhibit from the Burpee Museum, Rick's Picks, could find itself a permanent location at a new Rockford casino.

Do you remember Rick's Picks? It was a temporary exhibit at the Burpee Museum featuring Rick Nielsen's Cheap Trick and Rock Music memorabilia collection. It was one of the coolest things we ever had in Rockford. I went to see it several times. Unfortunately, after the display was done, the collection just went back in storage.

One of the first things I thought about when Hard Rock along with Rick announced the intention of trying to put a casino in Rockford was that this is definitely a potential home for Rick's Picks. It adds another attraction for people to visit Rockford. Of course, every Hard Rock location is filled with Rock n Roll memorabilia. It's the perfect fit.

Looks like I wasn't the only one.
