For 3 Decades, This Must-See Illinois Christmas Light Display Still Amazes

In a city well known for it's 'postcard-esque' Christmas vibes, this display is one of the most talked-about experiences throughout Illinois.
When coming into Chicago for a grand Christmas experience, there are a few events that need to be near the top of your list.
This is an Absolute Must-See Christmas Lights Display
Lincoln Park Zoo’s 27th annual ZooLights has returned and tickets are officially on sale now.
ZooLights will be open from Friday, November 20 - Sunday, January 2. Tickets are only $5 Wednesday - Sunday. There are several 'Free Nights' throughout the show's run.
Mondays and Tuesdays are the ZooLights free nights at Lincoln Park Zoo. Tickets are required on all nights, including infants and children. You'll also need to secure tickets (aka reservations) for the 'free nights' as well.
These are the $5 nights:
November 20-21, 24-28, December 1, 3-5, 8-12, 15, 17-19, 22-23, 26, 29-31, January 1-2
These are the Free nights:
November 22, 23, 29, 30 and December 6, 7, 14, 20, 21, 27, 28
There are a couple Members-only nightsand they are Friday, November 19 and Monday, December 13.
Something being offered for the first time ever, sensory-friendly visit times.
New this year, enjoy sensory-friendly visit times. During these special event times, blinking or moving lights will remain static or turned off and music will be turned off, as well.
Lincoln Park ZooLights also has a new lighting experience on Main Mall and the South Lawn. Some enhancements in Enchanted Forest experience, and a giant 18-foot holiday tree at Pepper Family Wildlife Center.
