Still to this day as an "adult" we have an Easter Egg Hunt at my parents house every year, and it's great.

I think some of the adults actually enjoy it more than the kids. Plastic eggs filled with candy hidden all over, inside and out. I think my Mother hides close to 100, and will count at the end to see if we have them all.

So this got me thinking, if you were to put together a giant Easter Egg Hunt at a great Rockford location, where would you do it?

Where would the kids (and adults) look forever, maybe get lost, maybe find more than just an egg?

I came up with what I think is a great list, the Five Best Places to Have an Easter Egg Hunt in Rockford. I would probably ask first before organizing your hunt, but maybe not.

  • Anderson Japanese Gardens - Gardens galore, waterfalls
  • Nicholas Conservatory and Gardens - Maybe do it during a wedding
  • Midway Village & Museum Center - If there is a war reenactment going on, you might want to post pone
  • Sinnissippi Park - Band shell, trails, sculptures plenty of hiding spots
  • Klehm Arboretum & Botanic Garden - You never know what wildlife you might come across.

If you for whatever reason decide to follow my advice, please send photo's.
